Regional Alpha Conference in Zhytomyr
About 60 participants from 11 churches gathered for the regional Alpha conference in Zhytomyr.
Ten of the eleven churches had never run the Alpha Course before. Participants went home committed to launching the Alpha Course in their communities, with a renewed vision for discipleship.
Pastors' conference of the centre of independent charismatic churches
Church pastors and chaplains from regional veterans' hubs attended the conference. The participants gathered for shared prayer.
During the conference we talked with leaders to strengthen chaplaincy ministry. We agreed on specialised Alpha Course training for military chaplains in November. This is an opportunity to support spiritual care for veterans and serving military personnel.
We are planning two specialised training conferences with chaplaincy organisations: with the Christian Rescue Service and with the Association of Military Chaplains.
United Conference
The United Conference drew 300 young people, mainly from Baptist churches across Ukraine. Over two days we ran one seminar each day. Between sessions we talked with participants, shared about our ministry and showed how the Gospel spreads among young people through a creative approach to running the Alpha Course. We shared our experience of running Youth Alpha and practical advice.
At the conference we partnered with Ukraine for Christ, Christian Students Community, Stager, Young Life and other ministries carrying the Gospel to young people in Ukraine.
M4 Conference
We are glad to partner with M4, took part in their conference and introduced participants to the Alpha Course.
As a result of the conference we partnered with a Baptist seminary. In November we will run open seminars for their students on faith and on reaching discipleship goals through the Alpha Course.
